If you have a DUI you are automatically inadmissible to Canada, or are you?

For you or someone you know to be able to travel to Canada with a DUI you first need to know under what grounds you were charged and whether or not that makes you criminally inadmissible under Canadian law.

First you need to find out the classification of your DUI you received meaning if it was a misdemeanor or felony.

The following driving under the influence statutes from each state’s criminal or penal codes are equivalent to the Canadian driving under the influence statutes and will likely lead to criminal inadmissibility.
